I created PetCalmZone after years of living with anxious dogs and seeing how hard it can be to find reliable, practical advice.

My mission is simple: to help you understand your dog better and find realistic solutions that make a real difference.

Our Mission

Why PetCalmZone Exists

To make reliable information about dog separation anxiety easier to understand — helping owners feel supported and helping anxious dogs feel safer. Because no owner should feel helpless, and no anxious dog should be misunderstood.

My Story

Why I Built This

This site started because of my own dog.

Years ago, when my routine changed and I spent more time away from home, my border collie changed too. At first, I thought it was stubbornness. Then came the crying when I picked up my keys. The pacing. Scratched floors. Chewed furniture. A dog who simply couldn’t settle while alone.

I remember feeling frustrated — and guilty.

Leaving the house became stressful for both of us.

I tried calming products, enrichment toys, different routines, training advice… hoping something would work. Some things helped. Many didn’t.

What surprised me most was how overwhelming the information online felt. One source recommended one approach; another said the opposite.

I spent countless evenings reading about canine behavior, stress responses, enrichment strategies, and dog separation anxiety — trying to understand what my dog was experiencing. Little by little, things improved. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But enough to teach me something important:

❤️

Dog anxiety is often misunderstood.
And owners living with anxious dogs frequently feel alone.
